THE CRASH PAD - A HOSTEL

Two rock climbers envisioned creating a hostel to serve travelers coming to Chattanooga to enjoy the many outdoor recreational amenities. The Crash Pad was designed with both private and communal bunk rooms to provide housing options. The structure is made out of insulated precast concrete panels and the new building helped to further revitalize the Main Street area of Chattanooga. The project was designed and managed with Blythe Bailey under the oversight of River Street Architecture. The water color rendering was created by Dede Christopher.
